The MediQo Stealth Eco hand dryer comes with four speed settings to enable the operator to adjust the hand dryer to best meet the needs of different areas of the building. For example, its eco (240 watt/80 m/s air speed) setting will take longer to dry hands, yet is more effective than a standard hand dryer and will provide a quieter dry; turbo mode (700 watt/130 m/s air speed) offers a speedier dry but will use more energy and generate more noise.
The manufacturer states its dry time as 8 seconds, and whilst this might be possible in normal drying conditions, under test conditions (which involve completely immersing the hands in water) it took 20 seconds to accomplish a 95% hygienic dry. Despite this, the MediQo Stealth Eco remains one of the best hands under hand dryers tested for its performance. Its air flow is concentrated in a blade style which aids its drying performance.

The low energy setting is listed at 54db; this is the quietest in the industry. It is important however, to note that the manufacturer records the sound levels in a pressure chamber as standard which are not particularly realistic. Using real conditions, (i.e. measured at one metre ear level in a normal room with hands drying) we tested the MediQo Stealth Eco and obtained the rating of 77 dB(A) for eco setting and 84.6 dB(A) for turbo mode. Each 10 dB(A) equates to a doubling in sound levels. To put this data into context, 85 dB(A) is defined as inner city traffic noise whilst in a car; classified by the HSE as having a safe exposure time of up to 8 hours within a 24 hour period..

The MediQo Stealth Eco comes with a low 0.24w energy setting which consumes a mere 1w over a 15 second dry cycle. Astonishingly, the motor is still generating an airflow of 80 m/s at this low level power output.
Independent testing revealed that a minimum of 2 watts was required to give a complete dry. This is still tremendously energy efficient when you consider that the best conventional warm air hand dryer tested used 20 watts and that some use as much as 35 watts per dry.
The model consumes 55% less energy than the renowned Dyson Airblade and 74% less than the Airforce. Therefore, this is a superbly energy efficient, and therefore environmentally friendly, hand dryer.
The MediQo Stealth Eco hand dryer enjoys a unique quadrant anti-bacterial protection. This patented design contains a UV-C lamp integrated into its HEPA filter; the filter works to block bacteria and breaks it down whilst the UVC tube ensures that the filter is constantly sanitised and eliminates a build-up of contamination.
The air-outlet is heat treated, it is a fact that a regular cycle of intense heat on the nozzle area prevents bacteria from forming on the outlet. No other dryer offers protection to this area of the unit. In addition, all surface areas are infused with anti-microbial properties and the product is touch free.

This dryer features a universal brush motor. The brushes will last approx. 3,000 hours of continuous use before replacement is needed. In drying terms, this would be around 600,000 dries.
The MediQo Stealth Eco is incredibly easy to install to any surface, including low load bearing walls. There is also no re-wiring required, which is often the case with this type of hand dryer. Comes with a simple to fit secure bracket which allows the dryer to be perfectly aligned.
This is a compact hand dryer which is a sturdy ABS unit with no accessible area's to cause a blockages. Its shape doesn't allow for vandals to grip the unit and pull it away from the wall.
MediQo Stealth Eco is a highly versatile model; you have the option of using this same product in all washrooms throughout your building and to change the power settings to suit the sensitivity of the surrounding area.
