Qbic Blade Hand Dryer Brushed Satin | 70 dbA  | Low Energy

The Qbic Blade hand dryer is a lower cost alternative model to the Dyson Airblade and its counterparts. There are many blade style hand dryers on the market that come with a variety of claims as to the performance they offer (such as an 8 second dry time for example), however, it is our policy to provide honest facts about the products we sell. The truth about the Qbic Blade is that it really is a good budget hand dryer, even boasting some significant benefits in comparison to its more expensive equivalents. Despite this, it does not quite offer the same drying performance as that of the more expensive products.

Speed :

Manufacturer states a dry time of 14 - 17 seconds

The Qbic Blade comprises two rows of jet outlets that force the air to create two blades of air. The airflow is a remarkable 212mph or 95m/s,

Noise :

Manufacturer stated 70 dbA

The Qbic Blade is in fact a really quiet hand dryer, we believe it to be at least as quiet as the Mitsubishi Jet Towel under real life conditions.

Usage :

Recommended for High usage washrooms with over 300 uses per day

Energy Efficiency :

Qbic Blade features an adjustable motor speed and also the function to add/remove heat as required; the first providing the ability to lower energy consumption and the latter to increase the level of comfort in colder washrooms. The Qbic Blade can be set to a rated power of only 750 watts; it is when the room temperature is cold that it may be judged necessary to engage its heater element for additional comfort. On low energy setting, the hand dryer uses a mere 2.92 watts per dry; this is more energy efficient than the Dyson Airblade but less so than the Mitsubishi Jet Towel. The Qbic Blade hand dryer uses less than 3.3g of carbon per dry on its 750w setting, this is in stark contrast to the paper towel which consumes 12.5g per sheet (with typically 2-3 paper towels used per dry).

Hygiene :

The Qbic Blade comes with an anti-bacterial filter which works to lessen the amount of debris, dirt and bacteria that enters the hand dryer; please note this is not a HEPA filter. It also features a good drainage system that channels excess water into its service-friendly tank.

Product Longevity :

Qbic Blade comes with a long life brushless motor that is capable of withstanding heavy use (this being one of the reasons it was selected for use at the London Olympics).

Installation :

This hand dryer is not as easy as some to install and can be quite complex,  please refer to the installation manual in our download section.

Vandal Resistance :

The Qbic Blade does not have any additional vandal resistant properties, It was however used successfully at the London Olympics and therefore has proven it can survive in public areas with high traffic.

User Friendliness :

the Qbic Blade contains a unique blue dry zone which indicates to the user where to position their hands, before drawing them out, over a 10 second period. The moisture produced is drawn into an easy to remove drip tray, thus ensuring dry hazard free floors; this is a key element in respect of heavy use washrooms. We do not recommend these dryers in disabled or washrooms with a high volume of children as they are not as accessible to use.
